Namun, dikutip dari situs Kementrian Lingkungan Hidup dan Lingkungan, kondisi hutan di Indonesia itu memprihatinkan karena pembalakan, baik itu yang dilakukan secara legal atau pun ilegal. Tingkat deforestasi (penebangan hutan) Indonesia juga cukup besar, yaitu 3,8 juta hektar per tahun dan hal ini berkontribusi besar terhadap emisi karbon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tentu saja tingkat deforestasi ini mengkhawatirkan karena hutan adalah habitat alami dari berbagai flora dan fauna serta dapat mencegah bencana alam seperti banjir serta pemanasan global. Kegagalan dalam menangani man made disaster ini dapat menyebabkan korban jiwa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Restorasi ekosistem dapat menjadi solusi perubahan iklim. Faktanya pohon dapat menyerap CO2 secara efisien, dan memiliki manfaat lain seperti regenerasi ekosistem dan satwa liar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nah, di sinilah peran Arummi dan Bumiterra, yaitu penghijauan hutan seluas 1 hektar. Arummi memilih langkah ini karena penghijauan hutan akan berdampak secara jangka panjang, tidak dalam jangka pendek semata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kerja Sama Arummi dengan Bumiterra<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bentuk kerja sama Arummi dengan Bumiterra secara spesifik adalah aktivitas restorasi Kalimantan Barat, tepatnya di Desa Rumbih, Kabupaten Sintang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/pChQVYh-U3QlW9e5UsjjqalSYQyFcSKy8DhnpOs-nfQCzA80IaxFRQpd-S_T-xxTTxnIrwkow_9E8KhWDX6dwNyKpwrSdF5AusEwTCAa6P29mylVxFQrVQZDfX2VNe7n14UYrP0nq662t6p53FP14i8\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Aktivitas restorasi ini dikerjakan langsung secara langsung oleh Bumiterra. Sebelum proyek ini dimulai, menurut foto dengan POV dari atas, terlihat kalau area proyeknya masih kurang hijau dibanding dengan sekitarnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Penanaman ini tidak hanya sekedar menanam pohon saja, tetapi juga memperhatikan diversitas dari tumbuhan yang ditanam dan restorasi dari lingkungannya.
